I so relate. In 2018 I was hospitalized for 3 days, and no one came to see me. I have a sister who lives in the same city and one who lives 2 hours away! WTF! Furthermore, when my brother was in the hospital, my sister traveled over 1000 miles to help.
It seems like you're gaining more clarity with the distance you've created between you and your mom, as well as conversations you had with siblings. You deserve to be put first for once.
